A Kilkenny-based montessori school has been honoured with a Business All-Star accreditation from the All-Ireland Business Foundation.
Kilmacow Montessori School recently received the prestigious accolade.
Cllr Tomas Breatnach congratulated the school on receiving the accreditation.
“The award of the All-Star Accreditation by the All-Ireland Business Foundation is recognition of Kilmacow Montessori School as welcoming and child-centred and of the positive relationships among staff, parents and children.
Since the Montessori School opened in 2005 there has been continuing investment in staff development, training and school facilities with the optimum of professional attention and warmth in the interaction with the children in its care,” he said. ....

Kilkenny County Council urges Ministers to implement a plan to safeguard post offices

Members of Kilkenny County Council have agreed to write to two senior governments ministers urging them to implement a plan that will help safeguard the future of post offices across the city and county.
Cllr Tomas Breatnach raised the matter at a recent council meeting. The Labour councillor asked that the council write to the Department of Climate Action, Communications Networks and Transport and to the Minister of Finance and Minister for Public Expenditure & Reform to urge them to bring forward and implement a plan to sustain the country’s post offices. ....
