Concerns here in Santa Clara County. One Community Leader told me today that we are on day 4 of a local state of emergency in light of the deaths due to freezing. Its going to be another night to bundle up tight. And these empty beds wont be empty for long. Were still not at what we can take if people want to come in. But right now, were definitely over capacity at that facility. Reporter over the past two nights, two of the life shelters in Santa Clara County have been over capacity. Nicholas says they havent turned anyone away yet. Theres over 700 people who are homeless on any given night. Even if we had all the beds full, theres still a lot of people sleeping outside.
