The “Arrival Car” will be an “affordable, purpose-built electric vehicle for ride-hailing,” and will go into production in the fourth quarter of 2023, the companies said. Uber plans to be a fully electric mobility platform in London by 2025, and across North America and Europe by 2030. The Arrival Car is intended to be a relatively low-cost electric vehicle designed for ride-hail and car-share fleets, initially in the U.K. and European Union, says Tom Elvidge, Arrival’s senior vice president of mobility.
