TOLEDO, Ohio Industrial Realty Group announced Wednesday it has acquired the former Teledyne manufacturing plant in Toledo.
IRG purchased the property from the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority. IRG purchased the building and 40 acres to the north.
The additional land is designed to accommodate 700,000 square feet of modern industrial space in the Toledo market. IRG owns high-performing projects across the Ohio landscape, but this will be our first in the Toledo market,” said IRG President Stuart Lichter. “There is a wealth of opportunity in Toledo, as it continues to experience historically low vacancy rates and strong user demand. May 27—Two older buildings in East Toledo and North Toledo will be repurposed thanks in part to contributions approved Thursday by the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority board. The board gave $25,000 each to Children's Theatre Workshop and NeighborWorks to renovate adjacent buildings. The nonprofit theater group is taking over the building previously owned by the United North economic .
Members of Kranz s family will also be in Toledo for the event.

Kranz was born in Toledo in 1933 and graduated from Central Catholic High School. He took an interest in flight at a young age and authored his high school thesis on the potential of flying a single-stage rocket to the moon.
