The river is home to the famous Blue Spring, a place of great cultural significance to Māori, as well as being the source of 70 per cent of New Zealand s bottled water. The concept, which he is marketing via Instagram with the goal of selling 400 bottles by October, has now seen him selected as one of 15 students from throughout the country for the scheme’s Latin America Centre of Asia-Pacific Excellence (CAPE) programme. The 10-day programme aims to develop young entrepreneurs’ knowledge and awareness of Latin America and introduce them to the opportunities and challenges of doing business in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Colombia through meeting industry representatives, cultural activities, language classes, and business and cultural challenges. Students will meet with businesses in Hamilton, Wellington and Dunedin which operate in Latin America.
