West Bengal Panchayat Election Result: Counting of votes is under way for the panchayat elections in West Bengal. Since the announcement of polling dates by the State Election Commission on June 8, a series of violent incidents took place, leading to the loss of lives across the party lines.. A total of 69.85% voter turnout was recorded till 5pm in 696 booths in 19 districts of West Bengal, where polling for the panchayat elections was declared void.
