Governor greg abbott updates the situation in his state. Some regions of texas still getting whipped around by heavy winds and rain and tornadoes. So many people in the northern stretching of east texas need to still be vigilant. The good news is this, that is the early reports show that we have no loss of life, which was the primary goal. Meanwhile, 800,000 customers do not have power in north and South Carolina this morning. The storm has dropped 40 inches of rain since making landfall on friday. It could be three to five days before water levels peak posing a danger not just to coastal communities but to People Living along the dozens of rivers stretching through both states. This morning we know at least three of the killed by the storm died in flash flooding. And we know downed trees and power lines are still a big concern.
Two major storms continue to taunt two parts of the world. Tropical storm florence and officials warn that it is just starting.
