JOHNSTOWN The Fulton County Industrial Development Agency recently prioritized its board goals for 2021. At its Jan. 12 2021 annual meeting, the DA board had identified potential goals for 2021: One identify potential sites for redevelopment and conduct desktop assessments on them; two contact National Grid to see if there’s ways to expedite any hurdles for potential projects; three conduct a summit with the IDA’s economic development partners; four develop new revenue streams for the IDA; and five conduct board training. IDA Executive Director James Mraz at the board’s February meeting again broached the topic of goals. Mraz told the board he thought goals one, three and five were “most attainable.” It was noted by the board that goal three a summit might potentially wait until after the COVID-19 pandemic had lessened. ....
[email protected] JOHNSTOWN The Fulton County Industrial Development Agency board of directors named Joseph Semione as its chairman for 2021 at its recent meeting. Semione, who served in 2020 as the IDA’s vice chairman, replaces former Chairman David D’Amore. The rest of the agency’s officers appointed for this year were: Vice chairman Jane Kelley; treasurer Mike Fitzgerald; and secretary –Joseph Gillis. In other personnel-related moves, the board appointed members to the following IDA committees: Nominating Committee: Semione, Gillis, D’Amore and Kelley. Governance Committee: Kelley, Gillis and Todd Rulison. Finance Committee: Rulison, Kelley and Fitzgerald. Audit Committee: Rulison, Semione, D’Amore and Fitzgerald. ....
