New Mexico Sends Three to Outdoor NCAA Championships ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Charlotte Prouse, Amelia Mazza-Downie, and Jamari Drake will represent the University of New Mexico track and field team at the NCAA DI Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore. Although the Championships will span from Wednesday to Saturday, the Lobos will only participate on Thursday and Saturday. Prouse will be the first Lobo to compete, as she will run in the semifinal round of the women’s 3000 steeplechase Thursday at 5:02 p.m. MT. Prouse posted a season-best time of 9:44.99 at the NCAA West Regionals, earning her a second-place finish overall and a spot at Nationals. This is the third outdoor Championship in a row that Prouse has qualified for. In 2018 and 2019, Prouse finished in second place. The top 12 to finish in Thursday’s race will qualify for final round on Saturday at 4:24 p.m. MT. ....
