The nuclear deal and those who do not to introduce an act you can watch the rest of this program on our website cspan. Org. Leaving it here as health and Human Services dr. Tom price testifies on the president s 2018 budget request. The budget could cut funding by 18 or 15 billion. Good morning, mr. Secretary, its genuinely my pleasure to welcome you to the subcommittee on labor, health and Human Services and education. Were looking forward to hearing your testimony. Mr. Secretary, your responsibilities are many. Your departments responsible for insuring proper payment, overseeing medical search, helping families break the cycle of poverty and protecting our nation against bioterror and pandemic events. The cuts proposed in the budget blueprint are extensive and span the reach of your agency. I believe theres always fat that can be trimmed and priorities that can be reordered. He swore that in his affidavit, this is somebody who is watching out for perhaps being prosecuted at the hearing that he had no personal knowledge of anyone at planned parenthood selling fetal tissue for profit. During his testimony, this is about 15 years ago, he admitted that he was paid by an antiabortion group to appear in the sting video. And i want to quote what he said. What we have seen so far the ears have heard what were said. Also, i would address the unnecessary attacks coming from some on the other side. Especially on men taking an interest in the lives of people most important in our lives. If men in this society arent allowed to defend and stand for the women and children we love, where has the country fallen to . It is a shame when we have brought into a frenzy and concern about what happens to our babies, our most defenseless. I just held in my arms my brandnew granddaughter three weeks ago in the african country where she was born. And i thanked god for that unique special life. And i told my soninlaw on the way home. I said its amazing, prince, as we drive home today, having never met this little girl before, i would give my life for her. I love her. Shes unique and special. Thats why we have this hearing today. We want to get to the truth. We want to make sure Womens Health care issues are dealt with and dealt with appropriately. Meeting
