a gunman opened fire inside a medical building. he killed his orthopedic surgeon, another doctor, a receptionist and another patient. he then shows hi life. he purchased a gun at 2:00 p.m. yesterday. less than three hours later, he went on a shooting rampage. our training led us to take immediate action without hesitation. that s exactly what officers do. that s what they did in this instant. law enforcement across the nation is dealing with increased violence among people. this is yet another act of violence upon an american city. president biden will address the nation tonight about the gun violence crisis in this country. there have been 233 mass shootings this year. it s june 2nd. that count is according to the gun violence archive. it defines a mass shooting as an incident where four or more people are injured or killed in a shooting. in the eight days since the uvalde elementary school massacre, there have been 20 mass shootings since. we have reporters cover mass s
woman who had a cell phone in her hand that has a bullet hole through it. a respiratory therapist at umc and she had some tissue wounds. she bandaged herself up and went to the hospital probably should have been in the hospital herself but was spent that time trying to help other patients and did so for 10 or 12 hours. those are the kind of stories that he knew, he understood. there was a sheriff s deputy at unc. he was on the second day, second day of the job when he got shot at this event. his dad was also a sheriff s deputy who happened to be a participant at the concert. those are the kind of stories and messages i wanted to share with the president and asked him if he would certainly take time to visit some of these survivors and listen to their stories and he did. that s what is important at this point is for him to engage, which he did. and help in this healing process, which he has helped.

catastrophic failure of the justice system. georgia delayed the execution for four hours while the u.s. supreme court considered the case. davis declared his innocence until l the end. he lifted his head from the gournny and told the victim s family they had the wrong man. and he said to the prison staff, the ones he said who were going to take my life, he said to them, may god have mercy on your souls and his last words were to them, may god bless your souls. then he put his head back down. the procedure began and about 50 minutes later, it was over. davis got the death penalty for killing a savannah police officer in 199 and davis supporters felt his guilt was thrown in doubt when a majority recanted. protests outside united nations today. the crowd wants an iranian opposition group taken off the state department s list of terror groups. the group is working to overthrow iran s ruling. the european union removed the group from its terror list in 2009. protesters are
