Brian and Tisha Mack believe they ve found a cure that s really worth its salt.  The Fayetteville natives opened The Cave, a full-service day spa, in Hope Mills on Jan. 8. The spa offers massages, facials and other treatments, but it s the namesake salt cave that makes this spot stand out.  The opening came more than two years after the couple was first introduced to halotherapy. Brian Mack fell ill with a headache and cold-like symptoms while they were in Charlotte. In lieu of prescribed medicine, he followed up on a suggestion by a friend to visit a salt cave instead. His headache and stuffy nose quickly dissipated.

The Fayetteville State University graduates say planning to open the full-service spa took two years. Then COVID-19 hit which delayed the opening date to January.
