are you just doing it in a bigger platform with the entire house of representatives? no. there is a very clear distinction between what we are doing and what they have done in weaponnizing the judicial system. they are undermining the people s faith in our institutions. our system of justice system. what we are doing is the opposite. we are trying to adhere to the rule of law. that was republican speaker of the house mike johnson this afternoon saying that the republican party is just trying to adhere to the rule of law. now, a few hours were that interview, speaker johnson made a huge decision which shows that is plainly not the case. as speaker of the house, one of the most important things johnson does is decide who from his party sits on house committees. among the most important committees for the rule of law in this country is the house intelligence committee. today speaker johnson appointed scott perry and ronnie jackson to the two open seat on that committee ....

Senate republicans tanked the right to contraception act. the bill would have made access to contraception a federal right. but every republican senator besides lisa murkowski and susan collins decided to take a pass on it. according to a 2023 gallop poll, almost 90% of this country sees contraception as morally acceptable. even among republicans. data shows 72% said they had a favorable view of birth control. but that did not stop the gop from killing the bill in the senate. chuck schumer offered his analysis as to why. of course, we are already hearing the aim predictable, tired unpersuasive retorts from the other side. that this vote is unnecessary. that birth control could never possibly be at risk. that this is much ado about nothing. that s not true. as i said, go ask the people of virginia what they think. go ask the people of arizona or ....
