That amended development plan is a mixed residential development, consisting of 43 single-family homes and 90 twin homes and it will create an extension of Fox Run Village.
The council approved agreements for projects at Gateway Drive and Frederick Road, Waverly Parkway and Dunlop Drive, Morris Avenue and Rocky Brook Road and South 6th Street and Avenue A.
"We did hear you. We heard loudly that you did not want a rezoning over there. It s not gonna be rezoned," Ward 4 Councilman and President Eddie Smith said.
“We are fortunate to have this thriving industry in Opelika. GSF enhances our local economy and has made a positive impact in our community," Opelika Mayor Gary Fuller said.
