Maclean’s magazine came out with their annual ranking of the best communities to live in the country this week, and Medicine Hat and Brooks made it to the top 25.
This year the list was based on the best communities to live and work remotely.
Halifax Nova Scotia took the top spot, followed by Fredericton New Brunswick.
Ranked on internet quality, housing affordability, taxes, crime rate, access to healthcare, population growth, weather, amenities and community involvement, Medicine Hat ranked 21st in the country, beating out larger centers like Calgary ranked 31st, Ottawa ranked 36th, and Vancouver ranked 174th. The city, according to the Maclean’s ranked high on internet quality, low taxes, and amenities.
