Fairfield mom indicted in 10-month-old son’s 2018 blunt force trauma death

A Fairfield mother is behind bars, accused in the death of her young son more than two years ago.
The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force took 25-year-old Maya Nacole Freeman into custody Friday afternoon. She was arrested at 3 p.m. in the 4600 block of Pinson Valley Parkway. She also uses the aliaa Tia Nacole Freeman which is actually a relative’s name.
Freeman is charged with manslaughter and aggravated child abuse. The charges stem from grand jury indictments issued in December out of the Bessemer Cutoff. ....
