DC Wokha urges to expand healthcare services

Dimapur, June 21 (EMN): The deputy commissioner and chairman of district health society, Wokha, Ajit Kumar Ranjan, has encouraged the District Hospital authorities to expand healthcare services in order to increase footfall in the hospital. Ajit Kumar stated this during the meeting of district health society held in the conference hall of Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital (DMMDH) in Wokha town on June 21. He explained that the meeting was called to discuss district health statistics, implementation of various programmes, schemes, projects under medical department, challenges and issues, an update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Wokha, stated. On the occasion, the DC has highlighted the scope of village health nutrition day (VHND) to improve healthcare services. He mentioned that convergence of vertical programmes during VHND could be effective in solving many issues faced by the medical department.
