The selected patients - those over 70-year-old, adults in chronic care, those with severe chronic diseases, and healthcare personnel - were contacted by phone/sms. The vaccine by Pfizer and BioNTech has passed all regulatory approvals and will be given to the high risk groups in the first phase of vaccination from December 23 to January 31. 21 Dec 2020 - 21:26 The Peninsula Online Doha: The Covid-19 vaccination campaign in Qatar will begin from Wednesday, a senior official said today at the press conference. The COVID-19 vaccines will be available at 7 primary health centers for people who meet the initial priority criteria. Patients who have been selected will be contacted by phone/SMS to advise them of their selection for the vaccine and invited to attend an appointment at one of the 7 designated health centers Dr. Abdullatif Al Khal, Chair of the National Health Strategic Group on COVID-19 said that the Covid-19 vaccine produced by Pfizer and BioNTech will reach Qatar tonight through the Hamad International Airport and the vaccination will start from Wednesday. ....
