Three New York City synagogues and The Brooklyn Museum were hit with bogus bomb threats over a roughly two-hour span — and the threats are believed to be part of a mass email sent to nearly two dozen Jewish houses of worship, according to a Jewish philanthropic organization. Three individuals, all traveling to Vermont from New York City and ranging in age from their mid-forties to over fifty-seven, were arraigned Tuesday afternoon at the Bennington courthouse on charges they burglarized the Brooks Brothers outlet in Manchester, stole over $21,000 in merchandise, then attempted to elude Manchester police officers on a low-speed chase that ended when Bennington officers, alerted to the ongoing chase, deployed “spike strips” twice to eventually stop the fleeing vehicle.
