There s no way for us to get to the gates. and i know people who have attempted to three or four times and have gone back home. in spite of the challenges, the biden administration is emphasising the successes of the evacuation effort. here s a tweet from the white house principal deputy press secretary saying that a total of approximately 19,000 people were evacuated from kabul on tuesday. that brings the total number of people who ve left since the taliban took over, to more than 82,000. but there are still thousands waiting, and some have gathered at the airport, as you can see. on that, here s one us military chief. i can also tell you that there are more than 10,000 people currently at this time at the airport, awaiting departure. this is a snapshot in time, and as we said yesterday, we ll continue to change as more people are able to come onto the airfield and as flights depart. ....
