Officials say they will work to take custody of Jose Ines Garcia zarate and remove him from the country. Yesterday afternoon a jury acquitted him of first degree and seconddegree murder charges. He was found not guilty of manslaughter. Jurors only found Garcia Zarate guilty of possession of a firearm. He faces charges for possessing a stolen gun. A judge will decide that sentence at a later date. Zarate will receive credit for time served, almost two and a half years. Kate steinles family was not in the courtroom when the verdict was read.
