Feds arrest suspect in fatal shooting at Akron business Cliff Pinckard, cleveland.com AKRON, Ohio A man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month was taken into custody Wednesday night by federal authorities. Thomas Unrue, 26, was arrested at a home on the 1200 block of Nome Avenue in West Akron, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. The Medina County Sheriff’s K9 unit and troopers with the State Highway Patrol assisted with the arrest. Police say Unrue shot John Kovach, 29, on Dec. 18 at a business on Akron’s South Side. Kovach was found wounded by Akron police officers and taken to Summa Akron City Hospital, but he died of his injuries. No other details have been released on the shooting. ....
