JACKSON COUNTY, Ind. – During anti-human trafficking and pedophile sting operations last week, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) arrested eight individuals. The investigation has been ongoing since January and the operations took place at two separate locations in Seymour on Tuesday, March 9, and Thursday, March 11.
The sting involved officers using decoy profiles for 15-to-19-year-old females. All individuals were taken into custody after coming to the operation sites and allegedly trying to make physical contact with the decoys.
JCSO says of the eight people arrested, six were charged with attempting to have sex with a child under the age of 16. One person came to the sight and supposedly offered to pay for sex with a controlled substance.

SEYMOUR, Ind. Eight men were arrested last week in an anti-human trafficking and pedophile operation by the Jackson County Sheriff s Department.
The department conducted Operation March Sadness in two locations in Seymour, Indiana from March 9 to March 11 with the help of Covenant Rescue Group (CRG).
According to the department, officers used decoy profiles for females aged 15-19 during the operation, in which 7,000 messages were sent and received.
