Homeowner escapes Bethlehem fire

Firefighters fought a fire Tuesday, April 21, 2021, at a home on Kenwood Avenue in Bethlehem. Police said the homeowner got out of the building safely.Thomas Heffernan Sr. / Special to the Times Union
BETHLEHEM Fire damaged a home on Kenwood Avenue Tuesday afternoon, but police said the homeowner got out without being injured.
Firefighters and police arrived at the 248 Kenwood Ave. home to find smoke coming from the building s roof. Several volunteer fire departments battled the fire. The fire was reported at 4:45 p.m.
The scene was scrutinized by police and fire investigators who said the cause does not appear to be suspicious, though so far officials have not disclosed the possible cause. ....
