herself. one is crying, the other is active. it just wasn t going to happen. reporter: he wanted to be with his family. he told his probation officer his concerns. he learned moving them to wilmington violated his probation in pennsylvania and visiting them in delaware landed him in jail. that s where wilmington detectives came to give him the bad news. this could have been completely avoided, completely avoided. reporter: he is serving five years probation for leaving his son unattended when the child was 3 years old. in this case he wanted visitation or more time to move his family back to pennsylvania. coming up we ll tell you why officials say they couldn t grant the request. we re learning more about a fire that destroyed a popular philadelphia restaurant that stood for nearly four decades. bridget foy s has been a huge part of the community. steven fisher has been on the scene all day. he joins us live now. many dedicated workers without jobs, including one b
lost his live shot right in front of his home. pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, and we just thought it was firewor fireworks. it was out of nowhere. reporter: in an instant 16-year-old salvador of st. joe s prep was shot once in the chest, once in the back. kind of like street smart, school smart g at hockey. reporter: kahlir miller of mastery charter school at north and oregon was shot in the che chest. a neighbor says his facebook pictures capture his personali personality. that s him. he s a cool, cool dude. [ laughter ] he was. he was very cool and collective, quiet, carried hisself like decent young man. reporter: two teens both described as smart and decent both dying minutes after they were shot. police say in some kind of tussle between two groups of kids. we don t have the reasons for the argument behind the argument at this point. just one of those tragic mixes when arguments happen and years ago it used to be fist fights and now guns are introduced into t
