Magnitude and attributed reasons for adult weight gain amongst women at increased risk of breast cancer | BMC Women's Health

Excess weight (BMI ≥25.0 kg/m2) and weight gain during adult life increase the risk of postmenopausal breast cancer in women who are already at increased risk of the disease. Reasons for weight gain in this population can inform strategies for weight gain prevention. Baseline data from six weight loss studies for women at increased risk of breast cancer (age 31–74 years) were collated. Self-reported patterns of adult weight gain and attributed reasons for weight gain before joining the weight loss study were reported for the whole population and secondary analyses reported the different reasons given by women with/without children, pre−/peri- or postmenopausal, and moderate/high risk of breast cancer. Five hundred and one women with a mean age of 47.6 (SD 8.4) years and median BMI of 29.9 (IQR 27.0–34.7) kg/m2 were included in the analyses. El fallo CIADI sobre Crucitas y la empresa Infinito Gold en un paraíso fiscal


Recientemente, ha circulado en redes sociales, que el LAUDO ARBITRAL del caso de Infinito Gold contra Costa Rica, se ganó por Costa Rica únicamente porque la empresa no demostró las inversiones y gastos; pero insinuando que por lo demás, Costa Rica habría sido condenado; aspecto que es totalmente falso, y nos permitimos destacar algunos puntos interesantes de este Laudo Arbitral:
En la demanda ante el Centro Internacional de Arreglo de Diferencias Relativas a Inversiones (CIADI), Infinito Gold indicó que FTI Consulting, en consulta con RPA, calculó las pérdidas de Infinito al 30 de noviembre de 2011 (la fecha de la Sentencia de la Sala Administrativa de 2011) en USD 321 millones, aplicando el método de flujo de caja descontado (“FCD”) basado en un modelo financiero el cual concluyó que “los aspectos técnicos y asunciones del proyecto de Crucitas fueron desarrollados utilizando prácticas industriales estándar que fueron razonables y bien soportad[o]s”, y qu ....
