dana: the speculation is whether speaker pelosi will retire. you have a progressive member, very simple and genial kind of guy, he said this about her. let me read it from here. we want leadership that bridges some of the different ideological winds of the party that is committed to listening to all the perspectives that will be capable of helping move the senate or things that have sold the house. they have a bold vision of what we need to g for the american public. whatever it is, i hope they would adopt progressive position. don t you think pelosi has been quite accommodating to the progressives? absolutely. very much so. she is more liberal than the average house democrat, but she has been more accommodating to the left than i thought she would be. let s be honest. democrats are can lose control of the house. nancy pelosi s not going to stick around. let s assume she s going to run
majority. we ve got less than a ten-person majority. so that means a handful of democrats, moderates, progressives, just people who don t want to work together can destroy the bill. that s where the skill of nancy pelosi comes in. she has great credibility with these moderates, you know, members of the problem solvers caucus. she has a great deal of sway and is much beloved by many people, the progressive caucus as well. we do know what it takes to legislate. it s a compromise. that $3.5 trillion bill is scaled way back from the $6 trillion we thought was really the bottom line in the house. so i think that it s going to continue to be a legislative process. i don t think pelosi will call us back from august recess to
be credible and suitable to the majority of people in this country who thought that the insurrection was as severe as it was and are not in the maga umbrella. so he was always going to pick one or two people who voted to certify the election and he was always gonna pick jim jordan and several others to be a combat fire from minute one trying to discredit this committee and fight for donald trump. and the first thing he said was that he named the committee, jordan said the entire thing is to make up lies about donald trump. so this is exactly what we expected and i don t think pelosi knew exactly this is what mccarthy would do, he s going to veto the choices. i think he s just going to proceed. she has liz cheney in her one very credible republican and she s just gonna go on and let them drive a clown car on the
