Expert Insight: Bioanalytical methods for bacteria and protein characterization Watch this on-demand webinar to expand your knowledge on particle characterization, Raman microscopy, fluorescence, and SPRi 03 Mar 2021 Nathalie Vollmer (left), Christelle Mégier (middle) and Thibault Brulé (right), from HORIBA Scientific Molecular and cellular bioanalyses are increasingly moving towards faster and more sensitive approaches. Key techniques such as Raman spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, nanoparticle tracking analysis and surface plasmon resonance imaging now allow for easy characterization of all kinds of analytes, from cells to small molecules. In this webinar, Nathalie Vollmer, Christelle Mégier and Thibault Brulé, from HORIBA Scientific, discuss these different techniques and their application in life sciences and pharmaceutical research. The potential of these techniques is also illustrated through different application exam ....
The development of a new drug product is a long road in the pharmaceutical industry. Understanding active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and compound spatial distributions, investigating final product homogeneity, and differentiating chemically similar molecules such as polymorphs are constant challenges when working to guarantee product quality and process efficiency. ....
Expert Insight: Micro-XRF & Raman microscopy: A winning combo for your elemental and chemical analyses Watch this on-demand webinar to gain an understanding of how elemental and molecular characterization can be combined to help solve issues across many applications 23 Feb 2021 Jocelyne Marciano and Thibault Brulé, HORIBA Scientific Combining elemental and molecular characterization enables better and faster research for many real-world applications. The pharmaceutical, environmental, and even geochemical sectors can benefit from this complementarity of techniques. Micro-XRF provides elemental distribution over a large area without any compromise on sample preparation, while Raman microscopy can depict molecular heterogeneity under the same conditions. In this on-demand webinar, Thibault Brulé and Jocelyne Marciano, from HORIBA Scientific, demonstrate how the combination of micro-XRF and Raman microscopy can be used to fully characterize the organic and inor ....
The following questions were answered by Raman Application Scientist, Thibault Brulé, of Q: In slide 21, you spoke about a smart sampling algorithm. Can you get really high-quality Raman images in a short amount of time from it? TB: We have a new tool that will be very useful for fast mapping in Raman. In this case, based on a video contrast image, the software will automatically recognize and focus on the different features of interest in the mapping area. So very quickly, in just two minutes, you will have your first idea of the image, giving you an idea of the distribution of the different chemicals, or of the different crystal phases, which will then improve over time to give greater detail. ....
