Algin Gamble had been saving up for a bus ticket to Vancouver to join his wife and children and was days away from reuniting with them when he was struck by a vehicle that sped away, leaving him gravely injured.
The 32-year-old died in hospital two days after the Sept. 7, 2013 hit-and-run. The driver of the dark-coloured SUV believed to be a 1998-2003 Dodge Durango that struck Gamble as he rode a bicycle at 23rd Street and Avenue U North has never been found.
