Pretty good. i mean, i will probably still wear a mask in very crowded places. i think in like japan and some of the asian countries there is a tradition of some mask-wearing in public transit. i think it will not dominate our lives like the past 2 1/2 years. i don t think it s going to be the newspaper lead story. there s still covid around, and if you re fully vaccinated which i mean boosted, the risk that you ll be very sick or die is next to zero. and i think that will allow people to go about life as if not quite 2019, but almost 2019. all of us, of course, keeping our hopes up there will not be a new variant that screws this up again. i think the likeliest outcome there won t be. and we ll be in a good place in about a month and we will stay there. but we obviously have to keep ....
Russia ukraine wouldn t have been giving the fighters the migs and would you have pushed for that? i would be trying to find a way of making this happen but logically there is no difference between supplying sniper rifles or anti-tank weapons or aerial defense weapons and fighters because this is about supplying the armed forces of ukraine with the equipment they need. which we ve accepted a something we can do. now we know there are things we can t do. no-fly zone would involve shooting down russian planes using nato planes. we can t do that but focus on the things we can do and i hope we can find a way to resupply the brave ukrainian air force. they re doing a good job. bill: why not the fighters then? i hope there won t be. i hope ways will be found. sometimes it is impossible to say on shows like this publicly ....
Pelosi didn t want to talk about the numbers to say it was paid for. it is paid for by putting a debt to the next generation of americans. that s how it s paid for. dana: one last question. the other thing that s happening is that the debt ceiling has to be raised. republicans so far have said they are not going to do that. the democrats say that that is irresponsible. can you commit there will be no republicans on the house side to vote to raise the debt ceiling? there won t be. the democrats control the house, senate, white house they want to add another $5 trillion just this week. if they want to raise the debt ceiling they have the power to do it. one thing to remember, our gdp is 23 trillion. our debt as we speak today is 28 trillion with you have another and they want to add another five. we haven t seen this disparity since world war ii. this is a real concern going forward. remember what s happening to our economy. inflation. it is caused by the spending. ....
Analogy. it s like somebody pulling petals off a daisy, saying there will be a resolution, there won t be, there will be, there won t be. it makes it very hard for analysts to come up with earning projections. a lot of the economic projections are up in the air because of what might happen or what might not happen. neil: there are a lot of factors that influence the stock market. interest rates going down. almost everything these days is seen through the prism of trade, close to a deal or not close to a deal. i wondered if that s a healthy development here, even when we do get to the point where we do have a deal. what you think customer i think, for august, it s very unhealthy. we have seen the volatility really strike. you get these massive swings. it just creates more invests ....
