WESTFIELD Slowly, but surely Westfield-area residents and front-liners are receiving vaccinations.
Westfield Memorial Hospital said Tuesday it is planning to hold several COVID-19 vaccine clinics this week and next week. Clinics are held from 1 to 3 p.m. To date, the hospital has vaccinated approximately 260 local health-care workers and seniors over 65.
The clinic was scheduled as a result of the hospital receiving 200 additional first doses of vaccine, according to hospital President Karen Surkala.
Future clinics, utilizing additional doses of vaccine, are scheduled for Tuesday and Feb. 17. To schedule, qualified patients should check AHN.org, where Westfield Memorial Hospital will be providing a scheduling link for individuals to sign up later this week. Those without Internet can sign up by calling 793-2200.
