Its customary, usually around the time of an election they wont do what is called overt acts, that i wont bring indictments or subpoena people or do anything publicly as to try to not sway the election. The idea that we here in that time frame or approaching it is simply not true. I think what we know, poppy is that we expect mueller will continue in september and there may be a quiet period come octob october, a month before the election. division in our politics that schiff is going around now saying that he will wear this as a badge of honor. is he running for the senate in california. he says it will help him. the truth is it just might because people on the other side of this issue, people on his side think it s, you know, what he did was just fine. all those democrats gathered on the floor chanting his name think it was just fine what he did. the fact is, he repeatedly over and over again made extravagant claims about evidence he said that was available and was there but he couldn t show us, never did. that proved there was collusion between trump and the russians, and multiple investigations have not found that and, in fact, despite all efforts to the contrary, by the mueller probe, they didn t find it either. so, here we are. and the spectacle you see out there is deserved but depressing in a way. bret: it doesn t look depressing for him. is he getting hugs from democrats on the floor.
