doing so. police are very tight-lipped on his status. they are poignantly saying, greta, is he not a suspect or person of interest. he has been interviewed and free and has been released. so, the mystery continues. where is denise hutchins? no one knows at this point. police are looking for her in vallejo where she lives. what is the story she was kidnapped? has a ransom been made. that s what the boyfriend is saying. all of this is reported by the boy friend. it is his statement to the police that there was a ransom demand. we don t know the amount. we don t know if it was oral or written demand. is he saying that he was present when she was kidnapped but, again we don t know why he waited so long to report this to police. and the police say he is not a suspect? that s right. and, unfortunately, we have heard whether that is true or not. whether or not that is just a way to get him to cooperate if, indeed, is he simply a witness or something more sinister.
i mean as a detective would you be looking at this guy who made these calls and thinking maybe, maybe he s the bad guy? absolutely. but the two top primary suspects on my investigative checklist would be the individual who retained her for the prostitution call via craigslist. i want to know all about him bag to his kindergarten teacher. everybody he called. every interaction on trade accounts via craigslist. i also want to looks extremely closely at the boy friend/pimp. the driver. the driver who deposited her on hauser avenue on that fateful morning and somehow put such fear into her and called her mom and said i m terrified to leave the house. her fleeing the house in my view seems more connected to her fear of the driver than the individual who retained her. who are these guys and what have they been doing? jenna: yeah, who are they. that is a big question. that is one of many
