there is no possibility because the doj guidance. it doesn t mean that mueller s main probe responsibility is to get the facts and find out what happened. the president s part of that. and you say, well, why would he do it except to give grift to that mill, that mill being something nefarious in your perspective. i m saying no, not nefarious. it s for inclusion in a report to the house. right. that can then be used to consider impeachment. why would the president walk into that? because of the truth. he says he wants to tell the truth. if he doesn t sit down with mueller and we have some type of objective body, which i hold out hope that s what mueller is. everybody loved him until this probe didn t start going the way the president likes. now all of a sudden he s suspect. but if he doesn t sit down, it will always be an open question of whether or not he was hiding anything from the american people. fair point? fair point. but i would sitting in the president s place,

i have a sentimental weakness for my children and i spoil them, as you can see. they talk when they should listen. corleoney then warns, quote, never tell anyone outside the family what you re thinking again. in giuliani s telling, that s what mueller would be telling to his deputy. maybe some day they ll write movies about this period in america, but that assumes america makes it through this period. while giuliani has gotten a lot of things wrong, it is true that justice department guidelines do state, you cannot indict a sitting president, which would be unconstitutional. and giuliani s basically saying a mueller aide cited that rule in their meeting. which is possible. the rule that the doj applied for past presidents would seem to continue. people who want to change it because they don t like trump may not appear credible unless they have a better argument. and what about the rules that give mueller this power?
And he has to assess credibility of witness. witness one, comey. witness two, president, and you have these contemporaneous memos, then i think what we saw here from comey was a compelling state of mind what was going on which was to him concerning. and i think that s going to be important to mueller s evaluation of who is telling the truth about these situations that we ve been talking about. but couldn t you argue also that he was a fired spurned employee which is what motivated him right now excuse me, jack just one second. not at the time he wrote the memos. i would say mr. comey, you said in this interview tonight that you thought the president was a liar. the very first meeting. why didn t you quit right then? if you re such a high integrity, higher qualiing or whatever the name of your book is, which i probably won t read. oh you should read it. there is some stuff you might be able to read. we ll have a book club.
