The deceased workers had finished water-proofing work and entered the lift at the 40th floor when the lift came crashing down at around 7:30 pm on Sunday.
Medical officials at Thane Civil Hospital, where postmortem fo the bodies was held, told The Indian Express that all seven bodies were handed over to their relatives by Monday evening.
The contractors have been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder, negligence leading to injury and endangering personal safety of others.
