Like china, which is als racing ahead, this is very muc a technology arms race so it does fall to governments i don t have a lot of faith in the ability of governments t keep fast up with this fast-moving technology, but in terms of ensuring transparency that these companies show ho their technology works, an accountability, making sur they re accountable for all th bad that it does and also ensuring there s some kind of human supervision. for too long we ve allowed these technology companies t operate with relatively fe employees, to put their stuf out in the world and the correct it after things go wrong. but i think perhaps government regulating the field and ensuring that companies ar employing people to prevent th deepfakes, to prevent the next and maybe the real fake drake, it should be incumbent upon th tech companies, and no one other than governments reall can force them to do it. move fast and break things. ....
