East Texas plant nursery loses 7 greenhouses to snow

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Texas Wholesale Nursery in Tyler experienced thousands of dollars of damage due to the recent winter storm.
The nursery lost seven greenhouses that collapsed due to the weight of the snow. Each greenhouse costs $5,000 to $10,000.
“What happened is the oval ring, so much weight in the middle they ended up collapsing in the middle bending all the iron and ruining the greenhouse,” said Alexis Duran who is the co-owner.
A cost that could have been much worse as the plants in those greenhouse were spared from any damage from the snow or collapse. From evergreen shrubs to encore azaleas, these plants are best sellers for the nursery and will help pay for the damages. ....
