Covid-19 Highlights: Centre issues revised guidelines for international passengers

With an increasing number of Covid-19 cases coming to the fore from China, India has upped its ante against the virus and is taking all the necessary precautionary measures. Several states have issued safety advisories asking people to mandatorily wear masks and observe Covid-appropriate behaviour to keep the infection at bay. Masks are also back with political leaders taking the lead by sporting masks at the parliamentary sessions currently underway. The mixed messaging and confusing messaging further undermines public trust. the cdc is an esteemed institution with career scientists and public health experts. they do great work. but the communications communic been off. since the beginning of the pandemic, i think many of us assumed with the change of the guard in january of 2021 that we would see things differently. but we ve seen confusing messaging around masking guidelines. now with testing guidelines. so i think at this point in the pandemic, it is incredibly important that the cdc is clear about their guidelines and has the data to back it up. that s the other thing. they come out with these policy changes, and then provide the data or not provide the data later. so it needs to happen simultaneously so the public understands why these changes are happening. doctor, one last for you. ....
