The latest event organized by a local nonprofit that hopes to bring business to downtown Tulare, the festival celebrated the annual cherry harvest, a tasty but lesser-known Tulare County crop. Exeter cherry farmer Mark Morris of Morris Family Farm compared the Cherry Festival to the weekly Visalia Farmers Market, but he said the Tulare crowd was more appreciative and energetic. ....
