Rebuilding Indian Road eyesore touted as template for boarded-up homes

Two local businessmen are hoping to demolish a boarded-up west-end eyesore they recently purchased and build a replica of the charming old home it used to be, based on a 1958 photo.
It’s the first time such a proposal has been made to city hall for one of the many vacant and derelict homes most owned by the Ambassador Bridge that have caused massive neighbourhood-damaging blight. West-end advocates like Ward 2 Coun. Fabio Costante are hoping this application serves as a kind of template to solving the boarded-up homes dilemma that has plagued the area ....
