Nancy Edwards, Marv Larson and Wayne Morgan have been inducted into the 2021 Education Hall of Fame, the Henderson County Education Foundation has announced.
Each year, individuals who have demonstrated measurable influence or made significant contributions to the growth and development of education in Henderson County are honored with the Hall of Fame Award.
Since 2003, 136 individuals have been honored with induction into HCEF Education Hall of Fame.
This year’s inductees were honored on National Superhero Day, Wednesday, April 28.
A 15-minute video highlighting each inductee’s contributions to Henderson County Education is posted on the HCEF website at www.hcefnc.org/hof21, on YouTube and the HCEF s Facebook page.

Each of the inductees has been a superhero for the children in Henderson County and will be officially inducted into the Education Hall of Fame on this day. Summer Stipe, director of the Foundation, will join the Breakfast Club with Mark and Paige on WTZQ Radio, 95.3 FM, at 9:00 to celebrate this year’s inductees.

Kiwanis Club of Belleville volunteers are organizing an outdoor concert featuring tributes to country music stars.
The Country Legends Tribute Tour, featuring veteran artists performing the music of Keith Urban, Garth Brooks and the Zac Brown Band, is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 18, in Belleville Exhibition Park, the former fairground at 240 Bridge St. W.

“Each singer will perform a string of hits from the featured artist complete with authentic costume changes,” reads a news release from the club. “The grand finale of this show, which has sold out many venues, will include all three artists!
