The Supreme Court was hearing the suo motu case on COVID management in the country. The apex court asked the state governments to file replies by Thursday with regard to their health infrastructure and said that the High Courts are not restrained from passing any directions as they are hearing the cases in their respective states and they know the ground situation better. ....

Kejriwal on Tuesday visited two major government hospitals of Delhi - Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital (GTBH) and LNJP Hospital. He said, We are preparing a 500-bed ICU facility at Ramlila Maidan right in front of LNJP Hospital. This facility is being built for Covid patients only and will be ready soon. Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital – run by the Delhi government – supplies only four hours, the minister said. Stating that the hospital has more than 500 Kovid on oxygen, he sought help from Union Minister Piyush Goyal. The city, which is struggling to ensure medical treatment for serious patients, reported 28,395 new cases and 277 deaths in the last 24 hours. Mr. Goyal – who handles the industry and railway portfolios – has been instrumental in sourcing and oxygen supply as many states face shortages. ....
