I would like you to consider a question. Why is it that wellintentioned good people who are trying to solve problems often make decisions that have terrible outcomes . We said we are going to change the world. Did week . Probably, a bit, probably a bit for the better. I think at the same time some decisions have led us to better consequences. As joy just said we live in a fragile world and as a class of complex and difficult situations, we as a society have yet to figure out. At a personal level i make decisions every day. I i bought this car a wild bac. It is a hyhybrid, i tell you i have nidea if the co2 i get for my 70 miles per gallon has a benefit to all ous outweighs the cost of creating this car in the potential pollution impact of the battery after it gets stored. Maybe if we hadnt done that battery we would explore new technologies that have less of an impact. This is my mom. If i had bought that scarf 100 years ago, fine, no problem. Today i dont know if that scarf was made i

That we need more. We will work every avenue we can to get them. I signed three executive orders to help expand Health Care Capacity and ensure asset access. The first makes it easier for foreign educated doctors to be licensed to practice in the commonwealth. Specifically allows graduates of International Medical schools who have completed at least a twoyear postgraduate training to be licensed in massachusetts. The secondorder allows Nursing Student graduates, and those in the last semester of nursing programs to practice here in massachusetts if they are supervised by a licensed medical professional. These orders contribute to our effort to grow a Robust Community of frontline workers to support our Health Care Institutions as they significantly expand their capacity. We have already cut red tape to allow more Health Care Professionals to come over state lines, come back to work or start practicing straight out of school, and to continue to make sure that we find the resources we ne

I bought her that scarf of christmas. If bought they scarf 100 years ago, fine, no problem. Today, i dont know if that scarf was made in a sweatshop using cotton that had pesticides greg on it, and there were huge amounts of co2 as the scarf traveled from a long way away to the place where i bought it. My choices have actions at a distance and i have no idea what those impacts will be. Thats what im talking about today. You have a new super power. Its not all negative. I think i like to think of it as efficient a pond. Maybe there are 200 fish the side of traditional human societies, everything is going okay for a few years. Then a storm happens in the river opens up connecting that fishpond to the ocean. New fish swim upstream, the environment is fundamentally different. We are in that situation today as a society, things are changing radically. Actions have outcome at a distance and that is what link is about, the actions that we take and the decisions we make as we consider the actions in the past through which those actions become reality. How can we be responsible for the outcomes of our actions if they are invisible, if we can see the outcome of our actions, a fish in a larger ocean, we simply didnt eat all the for this situation. I am lucky i went through the computer revolution. When i was a kid computers were big old things no one could use, my mom didnt know the difference between software and hardware. We have gone through a massive democr
