华为消费者业务AI与智慧全场景业务部副总裁杨海松在介绍鸿蒙盈利模式时提到三个方面:做好产品、卖好产品和运营好产品:“做产品”环节，鸿蒙提供开源的免费版本，对于产品质量、技术支持要求更高的，鸿蒙也提供商业发行版模式;“卖产品”环节，华为提供线上、线下的渠道，收取渠道佣金;“运营产品”环节，鸿蒙提供联合运营模式，双方分成。
家电厂商率先鸿蒙化，也符合华为内部既定策略。在2019年确定“1+8+N”全场景战略基础上，余承东进一步将“N”细化为智能家居、智慧办公、智慧出行、运动健康、影音娱乐5大生活场景，作为鸿蒙扩展生态合作伙伴的主要方向。
其中，智能家居更是华为搭建鸿蒙生态的三条核心策略之一。
