Carl Sandburg College Trustees met last Thursday and approved a contract to install new wireless access points through all campuses over the summer. The Board approved a $266,000 contract to Heart Technologies for Sandburg's first wireless access point upgrade since 2014. The installation of the access points will be done following graduation in May and should be completed before the start of the 2023 Fall Semester. The college anticipates there will be minimal disruptions during the installation period. Trustees also awarded contracts totaling $2.7 million toward constructing the new Science and Technology Center to River City Construction, which serves as the project's construction manager. Contracts were awarded to East Moline Glass for glazing systems, Flooring Systems Inc. for floor covering and Vogue Painting for painting.
