This post captures insights on the promise and problems of using data and technology to address corruption in illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing. These insights were contributed by experts on three continents at a TNRC virtual panel hosted by TraCCC, the Terrorism, Transnational Crime and Corruption Center of George Mason University, on December 2, 2020. Discussion focused on the different technologies becoming available, what they can deliver, and the issues involved in their deployment.
