Once again, rechargeable batteries are the reason for the recall of a electronic device.
Audio-Technica ATH-CK3TW wireless headphones were widely sold in four colour variants (black, blue, red or white) through JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, Good Guys, the Audio-Technica online store, and various other outlets between 1 November 2019 and 18 February 2021.
According to the recall notice, there is a risk of the battery in the charger case overheating, with a subsequent risk of fire causing injury or property damage.
Owners are advised to stop using the case and earphones.
They should contact Technical Audio Group to arrange the replacement of the charging case.
