Police seize drugs and weapons in Borehamwood dawn raids Police officers raided a number of properties in Borehamwood this morning. Hertfordshire Constabulary says officers from its Team Scorpion and Operational Support Group raided and searched a number of addresses in the town at around 6.30am. Police say a quantity of drugs and weapons were seized, with a teenager set to be interviewed by officers. Detective Inspector Baz Kaila, of the Hertsmere local crime unit, said: We are aware the police presence in the community this morning will have caused some concern in the area. We want to reassure the community that this was a pre-planned, multi-lateral operation to disrupt criminality in the area and involved the collaboration of different policing units working with a common aim.
