Coordinate and respond to a potential outbreak. The declaration of a local emergency allows for much faster mobilization of city resources, accelerated emergency planning, streamlined staffing and coordination across the city. It also allows the city to be reimbursed from the state and federal governments. And it raises awareness throughout San Francisco about how everyone can prepare in the event that covid19 appears in our community. Also santa clara and san diego counties have taken the same action, similar declarations to bolster their preparedness. Id like everyone to note that cruise ships visiting the port of San Francisco come from domestic location, as well as from canada and mexico. The u. S. Who are not just unhoused but those who are struggling to hold onto their homes. I wish we didnt have to be here for this conversation, but we all know ive seen so Many Service Providers and people who work in the Affordable Housing industry and other places, and folks who are really at the forefront of helping, you know, this city, and the bay area address these challenges. And here in San Francisco, weve done been amazing job, but we still see the suffering on our streets. We still hear the stories about if someone, if they hadnt had too much rent, they wouldnt be living in their cars right now. The fact is 200,000 people families are lowincome in the bay area, and we have 30,000 people who are homeless. So what that means is we have to work harder than ever not just for the people that are unhoused but for ....

The parapets were reduced but they have been reduced to the very least they can be reduced to still engage one another. So with the stepping in the forward volume at two feet, the parapets for the uppermost roof are just at two feet. So the guardrail of the roof deck is typically 42 inches so they are just the two feet and that accommodates the heavier core moulding. I think we could remove all parabets other than at front, and thats only for aesthetics. But the west, the rear and the east, no problem. Okay. Commissioner diamond. Can i have ten seconds . No. What does removing the other parapets do . It lowers the overall mass of the building. By two feet roughly. Probably a little bit less than two feet. But they want to keep it in front, right . Right. They want to still keep the parapet in front. So would removing it from the other sides, would ma ma ....

SFGTV SF Public Utilities Commission July 13, 2024

The Youth Commission. We have to give them credit with this and mix this with matt hainey. This city should be ashamed of themselves, that the fbi, a federal agency had to come in and teach all of us, all of us that we have to checks and balances. And so we have a Sunshine Task force that totally doesnt work. The Ethics Commission totally doesnt work and the Controllers Office has a gun to their head with people telling him what to do and what not to do. Since 2014, i wont do the research and tell you the City Attorney hasnt been doing their job and so, corruption in this city and county of San Francisco has reached a saturation point, where millions ....
