THE Perak DAP election is about whether or not the delegates want to ubah (change) the state chairman s leadership style.
On Sunday (March 14), 2,135 delegates from 309 branches will decide the composition of the 15-member state committee. The state committee will then vote who among them will hold posts such as chairman and secretary.
They have to decide whether to retain state chairman Nga Kor Ming, who is known for his you are either with us or against us leadership style, or if they prefer Kampar MP Thomas Su, who is offering himself as an inclusive leader.
There are 30 candidates vying to be one of the 15 committee members. Half of them come from Team Nga, including his cousin, Beruas MP Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham; while the rest are Team Su, with Ipoh Barat MP M. Kulasegaran.
